Babylon is a new contemporany Opera written by Peter Sloterdijk and composed by Jörg Widmann. The play concentrates between babylons and the jewish civilitzation. The culture of making human sacrifices to the gods, in front of the celebration of sex for rising birth rate and constructing temples in the name of love. The main stage element that develops during the whole opera is a construction of a tower made by big blocks that represent bricks, and the construction of civilisation. A constant construction and re-construction, and a story that ends on the beginning point.
